Q: What is Nova Hoops?
A: Nova Hoops is a competitive travel AAU boys’ basketball program dedicated to developing players’ skills, teamwork, and love for the game. We offer training, practices, and participation in local and regional tournaments in the Murrieta, Temecula, and surrounding cities.

Q: What ages/grades do you serve?
A: During the fall season (September–January), we offer teams for boys in 5th–8th grade. In the spring/summer season (March–August), we also add high school boys’ teams.

Q: Where do you practice?
A: We practice in local middle school gyms (when available) and at nearby outdoor parks in the Murrieta–Temecula area. Practice schedules and locations may vary depending on team placement.

Registration & Tryouts

Q: How can my athlete join a team?
A: Players can join by attending tryouts or contacting us for placement opportunities. Tryout dates are announced on our website and social media.

Q: Do you hold open tryouts?
A: Yes! We host tryouts before each season. Players are evaluated on skill, effort, and coachability.

Q: What if my athlete misses tryouts?
A: Contact us directly—sometimes we have roster spots or supplemental evaluations.

A: The season fee includes:

A: Most teams practice twice per week for 1.5–2 hours per session, plus weekend tournaments or games.

Tournaments & Games

Q: What leagues and tournaments does Nova Hoops compete in?
A: Teams play in local leagues and also travel to tournaments in Orange County, San Diego, and Corona, with occasional events in other Southern California locations depending on season schedules.

Q: How often are tournaments?
A: Teams typically compete in two tournaments per month, with each tournament guaranteeing at least 3–4 games. Most games are held on weekends.
